Be sure to check out our media page for brand new audio. August 2005 Slapsy Maxie's/Fox Radio Promo Russ (105.7/The Fox) was there doing the whole, "I have tickets" thing and it went over big. Of course, Dave provided the rimshots to some of Russ's jokes....and they were kinda funny. But anyway, he'll be there all week, so try the veal. We had a ball, the regular suspects were there: Wendy, Julie, Craig, and Merv (formerly of the local Columbus favorite The Point) got up and did an incredible rendition of The Jack by AC/DC. We've said it before: Merv rocks and everybody knows it. Stay tuned for the winner of the backyard party happening next week.... See ya at the O-K....
July 2005 Cardo's - July 9 'Had a ball, as usual....Nicole, Jennifer, April....we thank you for your participation. You rock - have we told you that? And a special shout-out to Ben - he was part-roadie and part-bartender for the band this weekend...Thanks!! Hurricane Dennis was in town - not the storm, but the MAN. Too many shots of Jack Daniels caused the redneck version of the storm to whip up into quite a frenzy at Cardo's. He wasn't alone though - the Tequila shots (thanks Kendall....thanks a lot) were the root cause for missed guitar notes and Dave to repeat the same verse three times, maybe four. Don't worry, we were responsible - we all went back to our hotel room at the Chillicothe Inn (room 50) instead of driving back home to Columbus*. Gosh, do we ever love our Telemundo. Ole! *(Editor's reminder: The Yo2 guys don't drink and drive, and don't want you to either - see our deep thoughts section)
CREW BOOM/Crew Stadium - July 1 Boom. Sponsored by the Columbus Crew and 93.3, the Crew Boom was something to see. The distinguished gentlemen from Yo2 were honored to jam for the festivities (that wild and crazy Steve Cherry guy joined us on stage for the final tune), then witness not only the Red, White & Boom fireworks, but Stadium's own fireworks right after that. A special thanks to Cousin Bob, soundman-extraordinaire and his crew. We don't say it nearly enough, but Bob is very special to us, in a non-physical kind of way. Hey Crew management - can we do it again next year?? June 2005 Whiskey Dick's - June 11 We shared some quality time with the guys in FEEL. FEEL rocks. If you haven't seen them, you're missing out. Shame on you. Bryan and Denise Terry (Bryan was a drummer for Yo2 a few years ago- see alumni page) came by and said hello. As a perpetual Yo2 family member, we bow down to all that it is Bryan. Rock on, brother. Quaker, Steak & Lube - June 8 It rained. And rained some more. But that didn't stop Judy and Gary from getting married. Who gets married in the rain on a Wednesday night at a burger & wings joint with the thunder of 1000 Harleys in the background? Gary and Judy, that's who. It finally cleared up, so we jammed. Judy danced. Life was good.
April 2005 ~ Thursday April 28th - Yo2 Family Grows ~ At 3:43pm today, Den-man and his wife Marsha became the proud parents of baby Gabriele Arai. Who knew Den had it in him? We're gonna let Den-man get some sleep (yeah, right) and we'll see ya at the 'Lube on June 8th....
Cardo's - April 9th New stage. New lights. New friends. Old friends: Nicole, Jennifer (she sells T-shirts by the ..), April, etc......We actually played to a wedding crowd...you know who you are. We dug it, heavily. We even stayed at the world-famous Chillicothe Inn afterward and had some surprise guests....which we'll tell you about later. Let's just say the boys didn't get the sleep they had counted on. Especially since Dave and Todd couldn't stop watching Telemundo!... Big George's - April 2nd OK, so we're back in Plain City. The usual suspects. Bob. Julie. Wendy. Etc. How you doin'? March 2005 Hollywood On Main - March 19th Well, we haven't played in awhile, and we were anxious to get back on the horse. New venue, new songs, new attitude, heck....even some new clothes. HOM has a great sound system....and we had a ton of fun. It was good to see some of the old Yo2 friends from Waldo stopping by..... See ya at Big George's....
February 2005 Slapsy Maxie's - February 5th It was a smoke-free environment at Slapsy's this weekend, but not by choice. All in all, a lot of our friends answered the call and dropped by. We thank you. Doug and Sherri dropped in for their first Yo2 experience, as did Keither, Brian, Kim, and some other folks we haven't seen in a while. Hey Julie and Wendy - how YOU doin'?
Yummy's - Feb 19th Due to an illness, the Yo2 crew had to regretfully cancel their first show in years. We offer sincerest apologies to those of you who went out to Yummy's that night. We will make it up to you. We're gonna take a few weeks off and we'll be back, ready to rock. See ya at Big George's...Sayonara.
