BIO: Mark grew up on the rough and tumble streets of Columbus, Ohio. Mark was introduced to the drums at the age of 12 at a Buddy Rich concert. From there he started playing along to the radio and whatever records he could lay his hands on. In his mid-teens, Mark was seduced by a dark, sinister force that captured his imagination and propelled his every waking thought from that point on. That force was '80s hair metal.
By the time he started college (the first time) Mark was already playing in bars around Columbus. He found early success with bands like Opposing Forces and The Switch. Eventually he teamed up with his brother Kevin to form Columbus' premier opening act...The Jury! After the complete and miserable failure of that endeavor, Mark formed, produced, managed, and was subsequently fired from the band ACME Snake Oil Company. Deciding there was more money and glamour playing cover tunes, Mark joined Mental Disguise, which is where he first met Ken. Mark stayed with that band (in various forms) until 2003 when he teamed up with Ken a second time to form See Jane Rock.

Then in a strange twist of fate, he ended up in the Smugglin' Yo-Yo's. He lost big in a game of Texas hold 'em and was forced to play drums for the Yo-Yo's until his debt was paid. Which may be a long, long time.

Mark died on August 13th 2021 in a freak hot air ballooning accident. To this day authorities are baffled to explain how one can die from a freak hot air ballooning accident in the basement of a two story duplex. But such was the life of Mark Brennan, and as he lived, so
shall he be remembered...in almost total obscurity.
