DENNIS CAMETTI

"The DenMan"

What can I tell you about myself? Hmmmm..... I am the bass player for the Yo-Yo's. I have been jamming with these wild-men for about 9 years now. You couldn't find a better bunch of guys to play with. Why have we been together so long when other bands have come and gone? It is because I have incriminating pictures of each and every member of the band, and if they leave I am going public with them.   Ha-Ha.....Well, the actual reason is that they are just a great bunch of guys. Plain and simple, if you like what you are doing and who you are working with, you will just keep doing it.

I have been playing bass and guitar for almost 25 years now. I got my first bass in Jr. high. It was a Kingston. It didn't sound that good but I learned to play on it, and that was enough.

I own about 5 basses and guitars. Mostly Fenders or G&L . I play through Ampeg gear. I have a digitech bass squeeze pedal, just to add a little compression and sustain.

As you can tell by the pics I ride a Harley. I have been riding bikes for about as long as I have been playing bass. My brother, Rick and I owned a dirt bike when we were kids. I wrecked it a lot and Rick fixed it a lot. I still have some of the scars, but I had a great time. Nowadays I try not to wreck. The asphalt is a little harder than dirt and grass.

I am the father of a little one year old. Gabby keeps us busy. She has only heard us play one time, she is a music lover. I am sure when she is a little older she will make it to more shows.
